Original marble stairs have been polished and layers of paint have been removed from the iron banisters to reveal beautifully detailed ironwork dating from 1902.
The newly appointed guest rooms and suites have plush carpeting, new mattresses, bedspreads and drapery and hand selected antique furniture. The bathrooms have period wall coverings, fixtures and refinished soaking tubs. Plush carpeting and custom wallpaper, designed by New Yorker cartoonist Robert Mankoff, join antique light fixtures and prints in the hallways.
